I'm new to this and just bought this board: http://sivava.com/.

Wish I would have realized you have to have a printer port. Anyways, my question has to do with attaching the psop44 adapter. How do I know what is pin1 on the adapter, and which orientation is the adapter installed? I can't wipe this chip out......

Ok guys, I figured that out using my multimeter.

Now I have a new problem. I am trying to read an intel 28f400 chip. The BIN I am getting does not look correct and when compared to what it should look like it is verified incorrect. I am not getting an error message either. Is there anything in particular that I should be looking for in the settings? I have moved the switches to the correct positions. If I run the chip ID, it says intel 28f400 B. I'm not sure why my bin is incorrect.

It should be OK with read result.
I'm not sure why my bin is incorrect.
Why ?
Sometimes bytes in source word are swapped .
Send to my mail read result and your expectation.

You were right! The bits were just swapped. I have made the changes to the BIN file I wanted to make. Before I write the chip do I swap the bits again?

You can do with Willem SW, Action > Swap Byte
Before I write the chip do I swap the bits again?
Yes. first swap for edit , second swap for write
