New Programmer Problem

I have constructed a new EZOflash V4.4 Programmer. I have tested all the address and data lines as per the test guide. But when i click data out 0x0000 in test hardware and read it data read shows 0x04

How to trouble shoot it

I tried eraing a intel 82802AB it gets erased, verify result is ok.but when programmed the chip fails

This check not applicable. Here is not target device , data lines have high impedancy.
The same reply you can get with action Read when target chip not installed. It is normally you get in buffer combinations 0x04 and 0x06

Check jumper settings Jp2,Jp3,Jp4 and Jp8 on fwh/lpc adapter.
Initial valid ID approval important. For PLCC32 chip clean side, chip contact problem appears in socket.

Thanks for the help. I have checked jumper J2 J3 J4 & J8.

Now i am getting the ID as 0X89 & 0x89 with Intel as vendor id but there is no device name

Next result shows contact problem. Try to move chip in socket (lift up a bit), clean pins. Reply not valid, here should be valid chip ID too. Recheck fwh adapter lines.

Yes, if you try read out content from datalines.

ezoflash4v4 works with SW versions 0.97xxx - 0.97ja, 0.97d12c3, 0.97g.
0.98ja doesn't exist.

Sorry Its typo error. I am using 0.97ja version

As advised i have lifted up the chip, Cleaned contacts, but still the Elctronic ID is

Chip used is Intel N82802AB

Manufacturer 0x89 Intel
Device code 0x89

Erase works, Blank check result is ok

Previously i was using a cable to connect the programmer to my parallel port, I now have connected it directly to the port

I have modified the programmer for serial support, will it cause these problems
Should i try by removing C2, presently R/C dealy is 50 micro seconds

Kindly help me to troubleshoot, reason its showing the same id for device code

I think - no. Serial part can't cause problems. C2 is sensitiv for SST devices.

Keep adapter with chip in programmer. Go Test H/W mode. Activate/deactivate 12-A0 , check voltage changes directly on PLCC32 pin 12. Activate/deactivate 11-A1 , check voltage changes directly on PLCC32 pin 11. Report voltages.
Do you have any other fhh/lpc chip for testing ?
